Practical Information on Delivery and Installation
When you purchase home appliances from The Appliance Consultant Copenhagen, we guarantee professional delivery, certified installation, and eco-friendly disposal of your old appliances. To ensure a seamless delivery experience, please review the practical guidelines below.
Delivery options
Kerbside delivery: The appliance is delivered to the nearest street-level entrance accessible by a hand truck. If you live in an apartment building, it will be left outside on the street.
Delivery with carry-in: The driver will carry the appliance into the first room of your home. Please ensure there is a clear route through the property and protect any delicate flooring. If the delivery requires two people, an additional charge will apply at the current rate.
Redelivery (DKK 500 excl. VAT): If no one is home to receive the appliance, it will be taken back. A new delivery will be charged as a redelivery.
Installation
Certified Installation: Appliances are connected to existing, compliant electrical and/or plumbing installations. As a general rule, we do not perform new installations, pipe routing, or alterations to fixed electrical and plumbing systems. The installation of gas stoves and gas hobs is carried out solely by special written agreement and is managed by our affiliated certified gas technician, who will also complete the mandatory reporting to the Danish Business Authority, Market Surveillance and Technical Safety.
Preparation: Your existing electrical and plumbing connections must comply with applicable regulations, be in working order and be accessible. We connect the appliance to the existing connections using the parts supplied with the product. If needed, we can replace the plug with a 3-pin or 5-pin plug.
Failed installation (DKK 500 excl. VAT): If installation cannot be completed because the existing connections are missing, non-compliant or defective, the appliance dimensions are incorrect (where you took the measurements yourself), or access is unavailable, a failed installation fee will be charged.
Disposal of old appliances
We’ll be happy to take your old appliances away for environmentally responsible recycling.
The appliance must be emptied and disconnected before we arrive. For kerbside deliveries, you must bring the old appliance outside to street level yourself.
What’s not included in standard installation?
Drilling holes or cutting into cabinets or countertops (for example, for cooktops or built-in ovens).
Sealing and gluing cooktops.
Special requirements for washers and dishwashers
Installation location: Appliances are normally installed at floor level. Stacking requires an agreed additional fee.
Water tap and AquaStop: The water tap must have an external thread (½" or ¾") and a working check valve. If the appliance has AquaStop, the tap must be at least 30 cm above the floor or cabinet base. For dishwashers, there must be a 10 cm diameter hole at the bottom of the cabinet side panel.
Drainage: A fixed drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 30 mm must be available, and the connection must be 60–90 cm above the floor. Extending hoses beyond 1.5 metres will incur an additional charge.
Site surveys and consultation visits
As a rule, our site survey is free when you purchase household appliances from us. Otherwise, the visit costs DKK 500 excl. VAT. The fee covers travel, measurements, and a visual assessment of access conditions and existing connections. If you purchase the appliances from us, we deduct the full visit fee from your final invoice. If you do not, the fee covers the visit.
We assess installation feasibility based on visible conditions. Hidden issues or existing installations that do not comply with applicable regulations may require additional work.
